Whether you're preparing for an equine event, or commercial shoot, these FAQs will help guide you through every step of the process. Booking and scheduling

How do I book a session with you?

You can book a session by Whatsapping us at the phone number +962775982597 or by filling out the contact form on our contact page. We will provide you with available dates and discuss your needs to ensure everything is perfect for your shoot.

How far in advance should I book a session?

Due to the high demand of the photo and video shoots it is best to book at least 1 month in advance to secure your preferred date. However, with emergency situations such as farewell shoots, we will try our absolute best to schedule a suitable time for you.

Can I reschedule my session if needed?

Yes, please notify us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. We will do our best to accommodate a new date. It is not possible to reschedule or cancel your photoshoot or video production less then 48 hours in advance, without valid reasons.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Cancellation is possible but the more notice the better.  It is not possible to cancel your booking less then 48 hours in advance without valid reasons, as it is impossible for us to book other clients within this time frame.

We ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit for all photo or video shoots.

Do you travel for shoots, and if so, is there a travel fee?

Yes, we do travel for shoots. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance and location. We will provide a detailed quote based on your needs.

What happens if I’m running late for my session?

Please, let us know as soon as possible. Typically, we plan plenty of time for a photo- and/or video production and have some leeway. Depending on the delay, type of shoot and the time of the day, it might be that we need to reschedule, in this case there might be additional costs.

Pricing and payment

What are your rates?

Our rates vary based on the type of shoot, duration, and specific services. We are happy to provide a quote based on your specific needs. Please contact us by WhatsApp or fill out the contact form to request your personal quote.

Do you offer packages or discounts?

Yes, we offer various packages and for regular clients we provide loyalty discounts. Please contact us for information on current packages and promotions.

What is included in the price?

Our prices typically include the duration of the shoot, the editing, a personal page where you can choose your favourite pictures and full access to an agreed upon number of digital, high-quality pictures and/or videos, cropped pictures and/or videos for social media use.

Our prices exclude the hire of horses, location, grooming of the horses, travel costs. Prints and albums can be arranged but at additional cost and with prior discussion.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Cash payments and if needed bank transfers. Payment details will be provided upon booking.

When is payment due?

A deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due before delivery of your photos/videos.

Planning and preparation

What should I wear for the photoshoot?

It’s best to wear solid colours. Choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident. If you’re unsure, please check out our blog on clothing "clothing advise from a photographer" and "seasons and atmospheres". Please, also feel free to ask, we can provide more specific recommendations based on the style and location of your shoot.

How do I need to prepare the location for a shoot?

Ensure the area is clean and uncluttered. Riding arenas should be flattened upfront for mounted photoshoots. For indoor shoots, good natural light is helpful, and for outdoor shoots, consider the weather and time of day.

Can I bring props or additional items to the shoot?

For sure! Feel free to bring any props or items that are meaningful to you. Let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Do you provide styling or makeup services?

We do not provide these services ourselves, however we can recommend professional stylists/makeup artists if needed.

What if I have specific shot requests or ideas?

We highly encourage you to share any specific shot requests or ideas beforehand so we can plan and ensure they are included in the session.

What if the weather is bad on the day of our outdoor shoot?

If the weather is not ideal, we can reschedule the shoot or move to an indoor location if available. Safety and comfort are our top priorities. We monitor the weather conditions a few days in advance so that we can adjust if necessary.

During the photoshoot/ video production

How long does a photo- / video shoot typically last?

The duration of a photoshoot or video production depends on the type of shoot, such as portraits, Blacklight, events, or product photography. Typically, a session lasts between 30 minutes and 5 hours. We will provide a more precise estimate based on your specific needs and requirements.

What should I expect during the session?

During the session, we will guide you through poses and settings to ensure we capture the best possible images. We try our best to create a pleasant and relaxing experience for all our customers.

Can I have multiple outfit changes during the shoot?

Yes, outfit changes are typically allowed, but please let us know in advance to manage time effectively.

Can I include my pets or other family members in the photoshoot?

Absolutely! We highly recommend letting in other pets and other family members to create long lasting memories. Let us know in advance so we can plan for their inclusion in the session

Can I have someone accompany me during the shoot?

Yes, we even recommend bringing someone extra. The more the merrier! It also means they can help a little with handing prompts over or getting the ears of the horse forward.

Post-Shoot Details

How long does it take to receive my photos?

Typically, you’ll receive your edited images within 1-2 weeks. For larger projects, like event coverage, it may take up to 4-6 weeks. For time-sensitive content, we provide some content the same day or within 24 hours. We will discuss this beforehand.

How will I receive my images?

Your images and video's will be delivered digitally via an online We-transfer link where you can download high-resolution files. Prints and albums are also available upon request.

Can I purchase additional images or products after the shoot?

Absolutely! You can purchase extra images, prints, albums, and other products from your online gallery. Even a year later it is still possible to order prints, extra pictures or other products.

Do you keep backups of my photos?

Yes, we keep backups of your photos for 3 years. However, we recommend downloading and saving your images as soon as you receive them.

Can I share my images on social media?

Yes, you can share your images on social media. I kindly ask that you credit Steeniek Photography and avoid altering the images and videos.

Do you provide RAW files?

No, we do not provide RAW files as they are unedited. However, we can discuss specific needs or exceptions.

What if I’m not satisfied with the final images?

Our goal is to ensure you are happy with your content. If you have concerns, please let me know, so we can work on a solution.

Copyright and privacy

Who owns the copyright to the photos and videos?

As the photographer, Steeniek Photography retain the copyright to all images created during our session. This allows us to use the photos in our portfolio, on our website, and for marketing purposes. However, you receive a license to use the photos for personal or agreed-upon commercial purposes.

Can I use the photos for commercial purposes?

If you need images for commercial use, such as for advertising or business purposes, a separate commercial license is required. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs, and we will provide the appropriate licensing options and quotes.

Will my photos be used on your website or social media?

We may showcase select images in our portfolio or on our social media platforms. If you have privacy concerns or prefer that your images not be shared publicly, please let us know, and we will respect your wishes.

Can I make copies or prints of the images?

Yes, you are welcome to make copies or prints for personal use. However, if you plan to print through a third party, please ensure they respect the quality of the images. For commercial prints, please consult with us for proper licensing.

How do you protect my privacy during the photo session?

We prioritize your privacy and comfort during all sessions. Any personal information and images are handled with care, and we follow strict privacy guidelines to ensure your data and photos are secure.

Can I request that my images remain private and not be shared?

Absolutely. If you prefer that your images remain private and not be used in our portfolio, marketing, or social media, simply let us know. Your privacy and preferences are important, and we will fully respect your request.
