The Young Horse Competition at the Jumpers of the Future Action in Oirschot showcased a truly innovative approach to developing young talent. By focusing on building confidence, bravery, and dexterity, the competition provided a supportive environment for horses to progress at their own pace.
The competition's structured format was designed to gradually challenge the horses. Beginning with a basic gait assessment in the track, the young athletes were then introduced to jumping under careful supervision, with the height of obstacles progressively increasing. The culminating test was a gymnastic line culminating in an oxer, allowing judges to evaluate the horses' technique and jumping ability.
This progressive format not only identified promising young horses but also emphasized the importance of holistic development and mental preparation.
We would like to congratulate the winner, owner and breeder of Kassie Devine Z (Kassander vh Roosakker) with rider Isabell Enblom! And of course everyone else who did their very best and jumped fantastically.
